Alice Drake Writers Perspective

by | Nov 16, 2024 | Alice Drake Book Series

The writers perspective when I started this book over two years ago was to write a book which featured the Adirondack Forest. Something my son’s family had exposed me to. It is beautiful and relatively untouched by humans (at least where we hiked). The thought is always if our country gets too bad, we can all go there and life. The property my son’s father-in-law owns is primative. Is it even possible for the modern man to adopt?

However, the story follows a trajectory from 1270 BC with a Jewish priest named Aaron. Aaron had a 12 jeweled vest, blessed by God, which became the basis for many modern things; 12 birthstones, 12 months, and so on. I then found the story of Louis the German creating the Fraumünster Abbey in 853 for his daughter Hildegard. He then made his daughters imperial abbess endowed the Benedictine convent with the lands of Zurich under his direct authority. The last Fraumünster Abbey Abbess was In 1496, when Katharina was 18 years old, she was elected to be the abbess, a position she held until 1524.

Finally, the next key moment of this story is Adolf Hitler and the Nazi plan to invade Switzerland, a border country possessing incredible wealth and treasure. Yet, Adolf Hitler was less interested in Switzerland wealth as he was in magical artifacts rumored to be hidden away in caves and mountains and Abbeys.

Finally, the story lands in the Adirondacks around Lake Placid. Here, the Crystals of Eden are hidden away. What are they? Why are they here? What does this mean to Alice?
