Steve Day is a full-time author with a rich and diverse background, drawing on experiences from a life of travel, work, and personal exploration. Since transitioning to writing in 2018, Steve has infused his storytelling with insights gained from living, working, and adventuring across the globe. He has visited approximately 40 U.S. states, worked in Europe and South America, and traveled to China, Australia, and Japan.

Steve began his career in engineering and later transitioned into sales and marketing, working with various technology companies and startups. Over the years, he contributed to four startups, experiencing both successes and challenges, and continues to explore entrepreneurial endeavors, including a web-based academic coaching platform. With degrees in science, business, and government management, Steve combines a multidisciplinary perspective with a passion for storytelling.

Steve’s published works include the Heaven’s Portal, Alice Drake, and Sanford Cross book series, each exploring thought-provoking themes of spirituality, societal change, and the future of humanity.

The Stories Behind the Stories

Heaven’s Portal emerged as a study of spirituality and the profound question: “What if?” Set against the backdrop of a multiverse where heaven, hell, and other dimensions coexist, the book explores the journey of a man seeking God and meaning. Inspired by concepts like NASA’s research into parallel universes, the story combines introspection with a thrilling narrative of dimensional travel.

Alice Drake, on the other hand, reflects Steve’s expertise in public policy, weaving a dystopian tale of societal devolution. It imagines a future where technology enriches a select few, while the majority face economic and social devaluation. Through Alice’s story, Steve examines themes of oligarchy, inequality, and the erosion of democracy, projecting a world where fortified cities and lawless frontiers dominate by 2078.

Steve’s works aim to entertain while challenging readers to think deeply about the world’s spiritual, social, and technological trajectories.

I would also love to speak on the politically charged future which has been integrated into my first six books, including both Heavens Portal and Alice Drake book series. What does the future look like as a byproduct of these heated times?

The exciting opportunity to speak on the future of world politics would be most closely aligned to Democratic Party events. It is rooted in my own Masters Degree in Public Policy and Government Management.

Last but not least, since 1993 I have spent most of my work life in business development, marketing and sales for technology companies. Since 2018, I have been a consultant developing growth outcomes for Fortune 100 to startups. I am still seeking these types of engagements today.
